It’s time to work from our new home
As the world begins to get used to phrases like ‘social distancing’ and ‘self isolation’, at Born & Raised, we’re excited to be feeling a part of something bigger. This month we joined forces with Enigma, one of Australia’s largest independent agencies.
It’s been a natural good fit, combining our branding expertise with their creative energy, media savvy and communications impact, we know our collective success in Australia is set to take off even further.
But that means it is time to say bye to Born & Raised and Hello to Enigma. The team you know and love has already moved across into our new digs in Surry Hills, Sydney. Between our new offices in Sydney and Newcastle, we now number more than 80 employees.
We are now Enigma.
I have taken on the role of Managing Director, Sydney at Enigma, and will be working closely with Lee Valentine, a property and brand marketing expert, to grow opportunities for clients across our joint portfolio.
Early on in the conversations, Enigma felt like a natural fit culturally, and I’m pleased to say that now we’re all working together, that judgement has proven to be right. They’re hardworking, ambitious, matter-of-fact and laid back: it’s like a bigger, better version of us. And that bigger and better adds up to a broader skills base to better support the commercial ambitions of our clients.
We now have a brilliant media team on hand, grounded in audience insights and advice for clients in how best to take their brands to market. We’ve got capable production and studio services which includes slick, cost-effective content production and artwork roll-out. We’ve got access to a heavy-hitting comms and PR minds, and an in-house marketing strategist who’s worth her weight in gold. She connect’s ambitious creative thinking with commercially-minded implementation, and can help our clients where they’re lacking internal bandwidth. All in all, we continue to bring our blend of brand thinking, delivered across channels, just now as a stronger and more comprehensive agency solution.
I’m looking forward to working closely with Enigma’s awesome CEO and Founder, Lisa Sutton-Gardner as we manage the transition over the next few months. I hope to spend a little time getting to know our Newcastle office once travel restrictions ease.
(Zoom meetings just aren’t as fun!)
Personally, it’s a strange feeling to be this excited about the future, while much of the country is probably feeling quite anxious about what’s next. I hope that we all remember to be a little more humane to each other over this time, and keep an eye out for those who are suffering. Please feel free to reach out and have a chat with me, even if just to end the isolation a little.
